Description

Here is a fingerprint scanner which technically and aesthetically convinces: the DigitalPersona 4500 reader from HID Global increases the security of desktop and mobile PCs with a single touch. It is equally suited for individual users as well as for entire departments. Thanks to its space-saving measurements and modern design, the DigitalPersona 4500 reader may be used practically everywhere, even in sales environments. Connection is simple via USB 2.0.
Fingerprints are encoded directly after being captured, and are sent to a digital biometrics system for verification. A red »flash« indicates that a fingerprint has been successfully captured. The device is rotation invariant, so it does not matter in which direction the DigitalPersona 4500 is used. It is also secured against electrostatic charges, which sometimes occur when walking on carpet, for example. It recognises dry, moist or rough fingerprints and reliably rejects counterfeits. This ensures that only authorised users gain access to the system.
